TSC Printer Price in Dubai & UAE: Factors That Affect the CostTSC barcode printers typically sell in the UAE for about AED 780 for the DA210 direct thermal model, AED 1,100 to AED 1,300 for the TE200, and about AED 2,400 for the TX200. Industrial MX-series printers start at around AED 7,850 (public UAE listings, October 2026). What changes the price is resolution, connectivity, accessories and build, not the TSC name itself.
TSC’s entry models are built for businesses that want a dependable desktop printer without paying for features they won’t use. Here is what each model costs and what you are paying for when the price goes up.

The TE200 family, model by model
The TE200 series is TSC’s entry-level thermal transfer range. The four models look almost identical, so it helps to know what separates them before you compare prices.
Model Resolution Connections Cutter or peeler option TE200 203 dpi USB No TE210 203 dpi USB, USB host, RS-232, Ethernet Yes TE300 300 dpi USB No TE310 300 dpi USB, USB host, RS-232, Ethernet Yes
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi versions of some models are also available.
All four print in both direct thermal and thermal transfer modes, hold label rolls up to 127 mm in outside diameter inside the printer, and take ribbons up to 110 mm wide. The TE200 prints at up to 152 mm per second.
Five factors that affect the price of a TSC printer
1. Direct thermal or thermal transfer
The DA210 prints in direct thermal only, so it needs no ribbon and costs less to buy. Direct thermal print fades over time, faster in heat and sunlight, so it suits shipping labels and labels that are used within days. If your labels need to last on a product, a shelf or a piece of equipment, choose a thermal transfer model such as the TE200.
2. 203 dpi or 300 dpi
The 300 dpi TE300 and TE310 cost more than the 203 dpi TE200 and TE210. For standard product, price and shipping labels, 203 dpi is enough. Choose 300 dpi for very small labels with fine text or tiny QR codes, such as jewellery tags and pharmacy labels. If small barcodes scan unreliably, low print resolution is a common cause.
3. Connectivity
The TE200 connects by USB only. The TE210 adds Ethernet, RS-232 and a USB host port, so several computers can share it over your network. If more than one person needs to print, buy the networked model from the start, because adding a network connection later is rarely practical.
4. Accessories
If you need labels cut automatically or peeled from the backing as they print, you need a TE210 or TE310. The cutter and peeler options don’t fit the TE200 or TE300. This catches out buyers who choose the cheapest model and add requirements later.
5. Build and daily volume
The TE200 is a desktop printer with a tough plastic housing, designed for a counter, office or packing bench. TSC’s industrial MX series is built for continuous use in factories and warehouses and costs several times more. Unless you print all day, every day, a desktop model is better value.
Ribbons and labels for TSC printers
The TE200 series takes two ribbon formats:
- 300 m ribbons on a 25.4 mm (1 inch) core, for fewer ribbon changes
- 72 m to 110 m ribbons on a 12.7 mm (0.5 inch) core
Ribbons must be coated on the outside (ink side out) and between 40 mm and 110 mm wide. Choose a ribbon at least as wide as your labels to protect the printhead. Wax ribbon suits paper labels, and resin suits synthetic and polyester labels. Our barcode ribbon size and compatibility chart covers other brands.
TSC or Zebra?
At entry level, both make reliable printers. The practical differences:
- In the UAE, the Zebra ZD220t (about AED 700 – 1,000) is often cheaper to buy than the TSC TE200 (about AED 1,100 – 1,300).
- Ribbon capacity. The TE200 takes 300 m ribbons. The ZD220t takes 74 m ribbons, so at higher volumes it needs about four times as many ribbon changes.
- Label formats. TSC’s TE200 firmware emulates Zebra’s printer language, so most label formats designed for Zebra printers will print on it. Test your own labels before switching a whole site.
- Existing systems. Zebra is very common in larger organisations, and some POS and ERP vendors specify it. If yours does, follow their recommendation.
Mistakes that make a TSC printer cost more than it should
- Buying the TE200 when you need a cutter or peeler. Those options only fit the TE210 and TE310.
- Choosing 203 dpi for tiny labels. Jewellery tags and small pharmacy labels often need 300 dpi to scan reliably.
- Using the wrong ribbon. A ribbon narrower than the label wears the printhead, and a ribbon coated on the inside won’t print on a TE200.
- Buying from a seller who can’t support it. Check that the warranty is valid and serviced in the UAE before you compare prices.
